Sooooooo-Eeeeee!
For those that don't know, it's the year of the Pig. I myself am a Rooster (or Cock, but that's just such a dirty word hehe)
I'm not big on astrology, but I do believe that the Chinese as well as the Japanese have some things that just seem to "work", such as acupuncture, meditation, martial arts, among others. I do see some qualities of my animal in me, and it's more on the mark than our astrological signs and shit.
I look at my horoscope for entertainment purposes, and some days I'm like "wow, that shit is almost on the mark." But you know they predict this shit ahead, I mean how can you determine what's going to happen a year in advance? So I am not a believer in my horoscope, like I said, it's for entertainment purposes, and it's amusing when whatever was predicted was pretty close for the day. I don't look in advance but look it up at the end of my day, not all the time, but sometimes. It's fun. But being a Libra, I'm "supposed" to be some kind of social butterfly. um SO far from the truth. I mean, I CAN be, but socializing is really uncomfortable for me. I think I was born on the wrong side of THAT sign. But I do like to be balanced in all things, which is another quality of my "sign". Most of the time I'm out of whack, but I strive for balance and so love it when things are that way. Which of course isn't as often as I'd like.
So, who out there in the blogosphere is a Pig? If I'm reading it right, you really aren't a pig but chivalrous and gallant (excuse me, do those words even EXIST anymore? because I haven't come across too many men that even know what they MEAN let alone have those qualities. Well ok if I think SUPER hard I'm sure I'll think of someone). They also have great honesty. Hmmm. They also don't make many friends but the ones they do have they usually have for life. That actually sounds like me. They don't talk much but have more of a thirst for knowledge.
Well my sign is a vanity sign. Nice. I don't consider myself vain at all. But apparently the rooster is at the top of the list. Nice. I am supposed to be self-assured (cough). Conceited, vain and boastful (cough-choke). I am also very hardworking (roosters mate up to 30 times day, boy I could use that kind of work). I love the company of women (um ok the men do haha), again with being outspoken, open and honest. Push the limits but pretty sensible. Yea, I think I am sensible most times. Which probably makes me no fun. I have only in the past several years become more open, especially with men, but really, no one actually can say they know me. My best friend still gets surprised by things. What can I say, I don't like to discuss me much. I am big on honesty. Although at times I do tell my share of white lies. I am supposedly a deep thinker (um I have ADD lots of times, it takes a lot for me to focus let me tell you). But I do like to be busy, seriously disappointed if I fail at something, anything. I can be devoted to my detriment. "People born in the Rooster Year are often a bit eccentric, and often have rather difficult relationship with others. They always think they are right and usually are! They frequently are loners and though they give the outward impression of being adventurous, they are timid." Oh yea, my sister would totally agree with that always right statement, even my niece haha! I just find it all so interesting.
I'm really thinking of taking taiji again, but the fundage isn't in the cards for me yet. When I get back to Atlanta I'd like to go back to the Hyunyuan school (it's on my sidebar). HOpefully I've gotten over my issues with particular persons. I know I have. Just needed to get away, and take time away and do other things. I probably forgot every last bit of taiji moves I learned, but hey, maybe it'll be like riding a bike or having sex. Come right back to me! I really did enjoy swinging around that broadsword. I do still have it......
Anyway, I really do need to go to bed. One more day of work! Cock-A-Doodle-DOOOOOO
