I meditate. I burn candles. I drink green tea...............and still I want to smack someone.

Simplify myself!

Boy do I just own crap I don't need or use.

And it is a chore to figure out what to do with it all.

I have been photographing some of the things I own to try to get them up on ebay. I'm not sure I would even be able to sell them. Not like I own any high-dollar items.

Right now I have just a bunch of kitchen items. Again, decisions decisions. Do I group things together? Sell them individually? Oy vey.

I have various knick knacks that simply take up space and collect dust. I do have loads of books that have been on half.com but whatever doesn't sell by the time I get ready to move is going somewhere.

Where can I unload some of these things if they don't sell? I figure maybe the library for books. Goodwill perhaps for the clothes I have and "wares" that I don't want. SOme things I may just end up tossing if it is something that I wouldn't want used. I'm hoping some of the toys will sell but then again they aren't the 'new and up and coming' toy that is popular this year. I have a couple of film cameras that I doubt will get much money, if they sell at all. I would so love to upgrade in the Canon family, but as I was talking to a few photographers at the Seafood Festival last weekend, I realize that my 6.something megapixel camera is still just fine. These photographers use similar ones and their work looks fantastic. Sometimes I just get caught up in the new the shiny the technological advancements and I have to catch myself. I get so excited about the new stuff that I want and want and want. It is so easy to get caught up in that materialism. So I have to de-materialize my thoughts. I would love to have the best in everything but one I simply don't have the money. Two I don't want to be all hung up on keeping up with the Joneses, because that's just not who I am.

I don't have much in the way of quality, but it would be a little weird knowing that my camera was worth the most out of all my possessions.

I mean how many pots and pans does a single girl need???

There's a big difference between "wanting" something, and "needing" something. I'm terrible lately for driving off somewhere to get something and turning around a mile down the road because I've convinced myself I don't really need it.

If we had everything we wanted, we wouldn't have enough space to put it all.

I wanted to put my N70 up on eBay. I checked, and somebody had sold one for $30. Jesus, I may as well keep it.

I used to get a kick out of the fact that my bicycle was worth more than my car, then I had to buy a new car.
It all comes to an end eventually.
