Portraits Portraits Portraits

YOu know, I really don't know what I'm doing. Add to that the fact that over half the fucking equipment at my school (which I pay a pretty penny in tuition I might add) doesn't work right or it totally broken, I can only pray that I"m getting some decent shots.

It was bad enough there was not even a light kit to check out. Does EVERYONE wait until the day before classes to do their work? I was not I might add. I have classes on Tues/Thurs and I don't like to wait until the day before, at least with studio classes (lectures yea I procrastinate like a fiend, which I might add I got an 88 on my last test, not another A like the last one, damn). So I have to wait over an hour for a light kit meanwhile my portrait subjects had to wait. And they had to wait more while I set up the lights and then made sure I had them in the right spot. JOy. But I got a bunch done. I just hope that they LOOK right. I think I could have changed the reflector around, and another light or two. But too late now. I don't have that many people that can sit for me, so I hope these will do. I have a favorite of each group, I just hope the shadowing is not too bad. This shit is NOT as easy as the magazines make it look let me tell you. For one person there are at LEAST five lights and some sort of reflector/diffuser or both. Ok you can do portraiture with less lights but to get a nice overall lighting I am thinking at the very least three. THen again what do I know.

I will post later. No one will probably want me to but I want some other feedback. So be honest!

We all then went out to a Moroccan restaurant which took forever but was good. And I paid for most of it since they did have to wait a while for me. I can be such a nice person sometimes.......SOME times.......

Please do post. I'd like to see them.

That's why I do buildings, mountains and landscapes. All the lighting is on location!

I like pictures, helps remind me of why I do what I do.
