Unrelated and random

I don't have the summer off but it would be nice. What would I do with three months off? I have no clue. I am making a list of what I need to do for the three weeks I am off, but I have so many ideas, so little money, and not enough time for it all.
What would you do if you had the summer off?
So far my list starts with the responsible: every quarter my place gets ransacked and I have to clean something fierce. So I will be doing laundry and cleaning up the mess I've made. Other things to do:

1. Visit my grandmother in Florida.
2. Take in a state or national park or two.
3. Ride my bicycle.
4. Hit the beach once a day (and not just for my workout). Although I'm not much for sitting around on the beach for hours on end doing nothing. I did that as a kid/young adult and it holds no appeal to me, especially since I don't tan. I like to actually DO something, whether it's physical or intellectually stimulating instead of sitting around, I do that enough in front of the tv.
5. Organize my photographs. This is a must with all the damn photos I have that I cannot find.
6. Small road trips (depending on the gas). I was even thinking of renting a convertible for one trip. I love the convertible.
7. Seriously clean this truck. It needs a cleaning overhaul. Although I think washing the car will seem wasteful, I may have to go to the local car wash place and do a thorough cleaning. It hasn't had one for years (I'm not a big fan of using lots of water to wash my truck every week, and now with the drought it's just excessive). But being under this oak and getting stained with bird shit and such, it needs something. I will work on the inside first and wait and see how much rain we get.
8. Take more photographs. I want to use as much equipment as I can that the school has before I leave and won't have access. Only thing is, I have to find someone taking classes during the summer to check out equipment for me.

I need more things to do......
Of course more outdoor stuff is much better than the indoor ones. I think I'll save the organization stuff for rainy days.
I'm looking to Cumberland Island or some of the other islands (Blackbeard, Wolf or Sapelo) around here. I want to go somewhere I can only get to by boat. Only thing is I want to get there super early in the morning and I have to rely on a ferry so they don't leave until later in the morning. At these times I wish I knew how to drive a boat. Or even a kayak. Either way I'd probably end up going myself and riding the high seas in a kayak alone is not something I would like to do. Knowing my ass, I'd end up somewhere else LOL. A lot of the tours are for a minimum of two people. I don't have a large network of friends, let alone someone who would go on these little trips with me.
Ok off for more coffee and to try to actually do something. I think I'll start with the dishes. I hate doing dishes. If it weren't expensive and just wasteful I'd use paper everything........

Do take advantage of the school's storehouse of equipment. Even if the stuff turns out like crap, at least you have the experience.
Lisl Dennis used to talk about "Photographic inertia", where all we need to do is take that first photo - anything - and it will get us started on that energy draining photographic experience.
So, go in there and grab something and start shooting. It's good for the soul.
