BUSTed!!!
Son of a biscuit eater!!! Yea I know that seems to be my favorite saying of late....I wasn't paying attention, or rather I was paying attention to the marsh on the way onto the 'island' (hehe since I live on Tybee Island, there's only one way in and one way out, hence we are called the 'island'. Damn I'm a local hehe) and didn't see the idiot tourist slowing down to a crawl on a 55mph road so I had to slam on my brakes. And in doing so, the waterglobe that I forgot to remove from the truck, the DISNEY waterglobe, bounced off the little back seat and **CRASH** busts it's guts all over the back of the truck. Let me tell you....whatever is inside those things STINK! *cringes nose* But it looks so pretty with all the glitter splattered everywhere!! I was so bummed. I was going to sell that on eBay, and I think I would have got a pretty penny for it, since it WAS a Disney waterglobe. *Sigh* So anyhow, now I have to get that stench out of the truck, clean up the glitter and broken glass and move on. But alas, I have at least 6 other waterglobes to part with! Those are my sister's collection, and well since she's decided to "get rid of shit, because she has too much shit" I offered to sell them on eBay. Unfortunately, the Disney one I think is the only one of value, although I think I have a New York one....

My bikini and any other shopping items will have to be put on hold while I await my loan money, and try to find a dentist. I have a feeling I've got a problem coming up. When I breathe in through my mouth, I am having a nice sensitive issue in the upper left quadrant of my mouth. NOT a good sign. I do not have the money for this. THen again I would rather not lose any teeth. It seems all my old cavities are falling apart one at a time. I've had several fixed before I was laid off and lost my insurance. Now, I have to decide if I want to see the old dentist back in Marietta or see if the one I worked for here in Savannah will see me. He may give discounts to previous employees and I'm thinking that is worth a shot. So.....I may have to give him a call. I wonder if his bossy dental assistant is still there.....or if she up and married (FINaLLY!) and moved on.....I'll have to find out......talk about drama......
Let's see, not much else to report, other than.....thoughts on my previous post about being like my mother......I see my grandfather in my father. He won't admit it but I see a lot of mannerisms and things my dad does that my grandfather used to do. One that he's famous for is trying to 'make a quick buck' but he never follows through and always ends up having a load of cheap, useless CRAP in the house that he can't get rid of. He bought all these DUST COLLECTORS thinking he'd make a killing selling them at the flea market, when in reality, he didn't sell much. My grandfather used to do that. Well not with useless items, but in sales. When they used to go door-to-door selling all kinds of things. My grandmother has loads of stories. It's so cool to hear them. Just to hear how it was in her day. THey weren't rich and they barely scraped by, but my grandmother never let her children know how bad off they were. Yet my grandfather thought he could make it big in sales, but he never did. Always went from one thing to another. My dad somewhat does that. He had steady jobs for a long time, unlike my grandfather, but in his selling schemes or in his buying new items for his grandiose plans of decorating. Then the things he buys ends up never getting hung up or used. But that's my dad.......
