I love the Moon
Half Moon Outfitters. They are just good people. And of course they usually have the items I want. Then again it's a little pricey but hey I'm in a time crunch (procrastinator!) and well the items are of the utmost quality. Plus I know someone who knows the owner. Cool
I wanted a backpack/daypack combo. I am all about less is more. Well you couldn't tell by my apartment but I'm working on that. Because I hate having just a lot of 'crap'. If I don't use it I don't need it. If I don't need it it just takes up space. And if I haven't used it recently, it's not something I really "need". Frankly I don't really "need" anything. It comes down to my wants. And most of them are a waste really. But I digress. I wanted actually a wheelie/backpack/daypack combo but they just didn't have that. Campmor does but I'm not risking not getting my items in time. I also wanted a neck wallet because I usually use my pants pocket and I don't want to do that over there. I don't carry a purse (yuck). I could use a money belt but I prefer to have my stuff close to my body so if it's missing (hopefully) I'll know quickly. And I wanted some shorts and shirts to layer. THey didn't have shorts but I found a couple of shirts. SO I found a Deuter bag and hopefully it won't be too much but it doesn't look like my shit will fit in it. Guess I better learn to pare down. I think it will be much better than a duffle and suitcase. Especially on my
Now I just have to figure out how to pack and hope I don't kill myself carrying it all.
Bonus: THe girl that was checking me out was just chatting away to like three people at the same time so she may not even remember the conversation. But anyway, we talked about my trip and she said that if I bring in my photos, they will put them up on the walls for me, get me some exposure! If she really means it that would be SO AWESOME!! So I may have a place for my photos to "show" when I get back. Oh I'm so excited.
Now to find a place to stay for my solo week......
