Bad Ideas

it's just my opinion, but I'm thinkin that quitting a full time job, with a child, to go back to school to finish full time, relying solely on financial loans (that she may not get) to pay for rent, a car, insurance, bills associated with the house, credit cards, food, and anything else associated with taking care of a child, is a bad idea.

i have a friend who wants to do this.

i think she's grasping at straws to get out of her financial situation. which she really shouldn't be in because she had already gone bankrupt and everything she had stacked up was in the bankruptcy. but i believe she has gone and spent money to the point where she's in serious debt again. least that's what is sounds like. because every time i talk to her, there's some complaint about how she has $0.00 left for nothing. yet she seems to come up with the $$ to spend on stuff. so I'm not getting it.

anyhow, i know i am going back to school to finish my degree. but i was laid off from a job. i don't have someone to take care of. i don't have but three bills to take care of, unless something of emergence happens (which then i'm kinda screwed, and it's usually with the truck). i am single. i am relying on loans which is setting me further in debt, but i don't have the responsibility of too many expenses. i haven't "shopped" in several years. i don't go to get my nails done or go to a salon anymore for a haircut. i simply do not have the funds. i don't have to buy school clothes for a growing child or have medical expenses associated with a child (i just hope that i won't have any medical emergency because i wouldn't be able to afford it).

so to me, in my opinion, i couldn't even imagining leaving a full time job with no spousal support and a child to go back to school full time. she would surely lose the child to her father. unless she wants that i didn't get to ask that in the conversation.

maybe there are some people out there that do that. maybe it works. i'm not sure. but i don't think it's a wise choice.

but what do i know
