Not too bad for owning stock in an oil company, starting off with 5 shares. Reinvesting the dividends, watching it split two or three times, and doing nothing else.
Sure I could have "played" with it, added more, diversified, or whatever people do with the stock market.
But I don't have good luck in that area. I don't win when I gamble with my money. Or at least not much. I am not money-savvy. Otherwise I would have gotten into aggressive money market stuff when I was with the oil company in the first place. But I 'play it safe'. Hence none of my IRAs/mutual funds, whatever, amounted to much. I've since cashed them out long ago. Well the one recently because once I rolled it over it just kept snowballing downhill. Oh I know, so have everyone else's. But I don't give a rat's ass about everyone else's.
So this is my only nest egg so to speak.
I just hope I don't have to dig into it to finish my last five classes of school!
