No title worth puttin in here
Do you get days like that? Where you can't think of a title? Or even when sending email, and you are trying to put in a subject? WTF do you need a subject for? Sometimes if it's someone who I know (like a student or a professor) and I am sending email from my non-school account, I'll put "It's [my name]" in the subject line. Just so they don't think it's SPAM. I had to email a couple of ad agencies the other day (the one that handles NIKE and one that handles some hot photographer couple) and I actually didn't even expect an answer and got one the NEXT DAY. I think I put "Student Research" or just research in the subject line. I was amazed. I got the names of the art buyers for the company that represents NIKE and the name of the agent that represents these famous photographers. I also emailed a Scuba Diving magazine. I got like three responses from them, from three different people (turns out the photo editor is the wife of the dean of communications to my school, so I'm pretty sure when she saw the school name she probably grinned, I know I would have). That's actually a lot of positive stuff happening in one day.

I've encountered a lot of negative stuff, especially when I have to find something out, and people aren't willing to share for some damn reason. But when I throw around I'm a student, many people are happy to open doors. Little do they know thought that I"m a 37 year old student and not a hot 20 year old. Although one place so far has been an ass. It's like the foundation for Wassaw Island around here. I think that's the spelling. I'll have to look it up. You can't get to the island unless you go on a charter, and you can't get on a charter if you are just going to sit on the beach, there has to be an educational or "real" purpose for you go to. You can also go if you have your own boat, which we don't have. So I called up this foundation and of course you get an answering machine. And of course no one calls you back. So we called every 15 minutes until we got some man. He didn't so very enthusiastic in helping. I thought foundations were SUPPOSED to help? So we told him what we wanted to do "photograph the island for some reason I can't remember what we said, but we did say it was for educational purposes that we were students". I did the talking because my friend who talked with him before got absolutely no where. She sounds young and probably sounded it. I can speak well if I know what I'm doing and I sound more mature heh. Anyway he was more helpful with me, but I still got the runaround. "Oh it's getting busy......." yadda yadda. THere's no one else we could talk to so we kind of scratched it. But it's annoying knowing that people still treat students like nobodies on occasion.

Well i finally got my portrait work onto a DVD. I downloaded another burning program (Cheetah, probably should have used Nero but with my connection I'd have been here til this morning downloading the program) but that didn't work. So after wasting 6 or 7 cds I inserted a DVD held my breath and *wah-lah* it worked. Not sure why. It's the same brand as the CDs (actually I have two different kinds of CDs and it pisses me off because they worked last week).
I'm thinking of ditching this laptop and getting the MacPRO. God damn it's expensive but I know will be worth it. Wonder if it would be safe to get it on eBay............

Well since it's Easter weekend here are my Easter colors ha! I'm going to head out and get some "girly" stuff done, like my face (gotta get the crap scraped off now and then, especially those damn blackheads plucked out, yum I know) and get my hair cut (since I look like a pasty white ragdoll with freaky hair). So happy Easter for those that celebrate! I'm actually NOT buying any Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs this year! yay me! I've been eating somewhat well and want to stay on track. I made salmon the other day mmmmmmmmm, and turkey breast (those things sure are hard to find). Now to beef up on the vegetables (I did get asparagus I'm going to steam tonite).
