I meditate. I burn candles. I drink green tea...............and still I want to smack someone.

What a Damn Cool Day

If only I had brought my camera........but I was "exercising" this morning so not too much time to waste at the beach. Although now I realize why we run on machines that go nowhere.......because when I try to run at the beach, I don't want to. I want to enjoy it. So I will leave the jogging to the gym. Which I will be going to tomorrow!

Along with the usual seagulls and dolphins I see at the beach, I did actually come across several live horseshoe crabs. "So what?" you say? Well I usually see dead ones so this was a treat. I even saw a couple getting it on. At first I thought the male was dead because when I moved them, the female only moved. Guess he was busy. I was thinking of helping them back to the water, but refrained. I also saw some hermit crabs. When I see a shell in its whole state (one of the conch shells) then there's something still living in it. Only once have I found one empty and it's sitting on my porch. I did attempt to place them closer to the water, but I'm not sure they wanted to be there. Maybe they were on their last leg. What else did I see *thinking*. OH a bald eagle. I am 99.9% sure it was a bald eagle. It was perched on one of the posts out in the water, but I didn't have my camera. Had a brown body and white head, so I'm assuming.......I don't know why but I always thought they were rare to see over on this coast. So I don't know. THen it flew away. I may email the City of Tybee or the museum to verify. Maybe they'd know.

In other news, some retard hit an electrical pole last night and our lights went out for the umpteenth time. I swear the electric goes out more here at the beach than I think in all my life! Not sure but it's close.

The TV is my frenemy........but thank goodness there isn't anything decent on during the day. Only watching it while I eat then it's back to business. This place is a wreck and I have loads of shit I need to sell/photograph/throw out. Also a lot of photos to go through so I can find Jake's photos in the water and scan the ones I want since I am going to be losing the facilities at SCAD here soon.

OH YEA

I had a pet bird for like two minutes yesterday. I keep the kitchen door open during nice days when I'm here and there's no screen on it. For some reason this bird decides to fly in. Not sure why. It flew onto the counter (found a place to actually sit on) then flew up to the window, then to the top of the refrigerator, knocked over stuff then flew back out the door.

And on another positive note..........I've got two more sunflowers that sprouted yesterday. Total of seven. Of course I have to thin them but at least most of the seeds sprouted. I will be so happy if I can get one sunflower out of it...........

If some random bird just flew inside I would go crazy. Knowing my luck it would be a flock of geese.
