I meditate. I burn candles. I drink green tea...............and still I want to smack someone.

I don't get it.

Why on this earth would someone want to GIVE themselves the potential to get really sick or die? All in the name of looking good?

When in fact they really don't look good. They look like plastic. When things don't move on your face when they SHOULD, that looks nasty. Freaky. Alien-like.

I know I can get a little obsessed about my appearance. But it doesn't take up my entire day. Seven days a week.

My best friend. Now she is OBSESSED! But the funny thing is, because she really is obsessed (she has OCD, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, she's got everything basically just shy of the psychotic/sociopathic disorders), anyway the funny thing is, she won't ever go under the knife so plastic surgery would never be an option. Although she would like to get a whole new body. Needles are out too. Hell she won't even get her ass on a plane and fly down here to visit me.

So, when I hear about people injecting their faces with Botox I just cringe. Ok I don't like the crow's feet that have decided to stamp their mark on my face. Or the tons of wrinkles in my hands. But I wouldn't change it. THat's just me. That's just a part of growing old. Seriously, I don't want to look like I walked out of a sandpaper mill all shiny and bright at the ripe old age of 75. That is just not NATURAL.

And to boot, to ingest yourself with a toxin? That's what Botox is. A form of botulism

What is botulism?

Botulism is a rare but serious paralytic illness caused by a nerve toxin that is produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. There are three main kinds of botulism. Foodborne botulism is caused by eating foods that contain the botulism toxin. Wound botulism is caused by toxin produced from a wound infected with Clostridium botulinum. Infant botulism is caused by consuming the spores of the botulinum bacteria, which then grow in the intestines and release toxin. All forms of botulism can be fatal and are considered medical emergencies. Foodborne botulism can be especially dangerous because many people can be poisoned by eating a contaminated food.

Yes no sorry. SOme doctor decides to take that extra hit of pot or coke before he injects you with a disease and WHAM you are paralyzed from the face down. Nice to know that the scientists can find ways to UTILIZE the diseases we have out there. I'm actually wondering if the AIDS virus was an experiment.............

Maybe if I were oh say RICH I would do it.

Nope.

I would rather spend my money on my camera toys.

I with you....that crap makes a person not even look real. Like a damn mannequin or something.

Wonder if it's expensive??

I'd use my money for XBox 360 games :)

when i lived in georgia the plastic surgeon's office across the street would have botox parties. one vial costs like 700 dollars and it can only be used within a certain amount of time because of the virus. i would never get injections but considering plastic surgery has something that has crossed my mind for the past year and a half. i dont want implants i just want a lift. put my girls back where they belong-that's it.

having a face like joan rivers i dont think is very appealing at all. it's not like anyone wouldn't figure it out.

what do you think though about dermabrasion?

Joan, at this point, looks younger than her daughter.

So, if you were paralyzed from the face down, would you still be able to make that little eyebrow raise when things were puzzling you?
If I couldn't do that, I don't think life would be worth living.
