WikiNews
Well, as stated in previous posts, Wikipedia is not a reliable source of information. Sure, SOME of the information perhaps in its entries are factual, but anyone that has access to a computer can edit anything in there.
I remember watching the AFI's Top 100 or whatever Movies earlier this year. On a whim I decided to look them up on Wikipedia while watching. It was actually quite amusing watching the entries change. Because people would write all kinds of shit in the slots as the countdown was going. People would put all kinds of things in there from calling people names to putting outright racial or other slurs in the spots. Of course they were changed quite frequently and now it has changed to include the list that was done in 1998.
So, anyone can edit the entries. And apparently people are using it to incorporate their own opinions about companies and events. Because of that, WikiScanner was developed (by a hacker) to track the edits. It doesn't track down to an individual person, but it can get pretty close.
A bunch of articles on it, but I caught it on Wired and in the Sydney Herald.

See, that's supposed to be like educational stuff. I'm allergic to all that.....
I never used Wikipedia as a reference for one of my papers, but it doesn't mean I didn't use it......
