No Beach for Me!
Well again it was a blustery day. So no beach time for me. Again the news was chock full of erosion issues. There is one house that is closer to the water than most, and with the high crashing waves and wind, the water has been coming over the wall to hit their patio and such. It is a shame, but they did build the house close to the water. It has been there since the 70's. I mean do people think that with the waves moving every year that it would never creep up to some of these houses? The world is constantly changing, nature is constantly trying to bulldoze over what us humans have put up in order to reconstruct nature as it should be. So I don't feel bad for those people living so close to the beach whose houses are threatened by nature's fury.
It is supposed to rain for the next few days or at least be cloudy. I was going to photograph since one I need to learn this new lens tool and two because I haven't been photographing most of the summer. But that may have to wait.
I partially fasted today. I used to do it weekly (full fast) but I stopped after I had been feeling faint some days at work due to low blood pressure. I was so on the track for a full fast until I had to go to a meeting for work at Atlanta Bread Company. I was SO let me tell you SO tempted to get something to eat, but I refrained much to my surprise. I made a few gallons of green tea and was drinking that most of the day so that helped. Until I hit the lovely smells of the restaurant. But I refrained to my amazement. Discipline is not my middle name.
But when I was on my way home, I broke down and drove into the Chinese joint. All that food at the Bread Company had been on my mind. At least I got something relatively healthy even if it was lightly fried: Golden Crispy Shrimp with Steamed Broccoli. Man that dish is the bomb. I hope to resume my weekly full day fast next week. I was planning on doing them on my school days, since I will be in class most of the day. My days off I like to cook. And when I work at the hospital I have to have something to eat so I don't feel faint.
On the entertainment note, I must say I am a big fan of Dancing With the Stars. And this year I think they have too many people who have some sort of dancing history (two of them are singers in bands and have been dancing with their bands). I actually LOVE the HOT Brazilian race car driver Helio somebody. Who IS he? I don't know but he is H-O-T *sizzling*. As for the women I do like Jane Seymour. I hope she goes far.
This cat decides to accompany into my house again. It is just too cute. It's not too cuddly, but is friendly and lets me pick him up. I was reminiscing (I seem to have been doing that a lot lately) about my first cat, Patches. This cat that came in my house looks similar to her, with the black patches on a white body and kind of plump. I was thinking she looks so much like Patches when I realized after seeing it's behind that it was a male. Either way, he's a cutie. I decided to leave him stay in the house for a little longer than I did last time. The first time he came in I was afraid he'd pee somewhere. But all it seemed he wanted to do was lay down in a dark cozy spot, which happens to be under the bed. He can't pee under there. Plus I didn't want the landlady thinking it was my cat. She'd freak. But he stayed a little while longer, took a stroll through the rest of the rooms before settling in under the bed. A few hours later I realized I hadn't heard him. So I called. No answer. So I went in there to see if he was still there or perhaps left as I left the door open. The sucker was laying on top of some covers near a couple of dolls on the bed. I hated to put him out but I don't want my landlady thinking it is my cat that I"m not paying for. Plus I didn't want him shitting somewhere. He does belong to someone because he has a collar.
Oh. And I was doing so well in the organizing department. I had my school books all packed and ready for class. I had my tea all ready to be poured into the container I was going to drink. I had my clothes all ready to wear. I even had my workout clothes ready to pack so I could hit the running trail before I made it home. I was going to go to the gym until I was told I had to meet those people for work. Well, I realized I forgot my gym clothes at home when I was in class. I was irked. I was kind of revved up to go for an interval jog today. But turns out it was raining anyway. I am not one of those fanatics that MUST run in the rain, sleet, snow, 100+ degree heat. Hell no. SO, hopefully I will make it to the gym after work tomorrow. At least do SOMEthing since it may rain again. I am working on it. Every so s.....l...o.....w...l...y

How in the heck can you refrain from eating at that place? I love it!
That Dancing With the Stars? Trish forces me to watch it, when I'm home that is.
I have a black cat that comes around daily looking for free handouts. It has no collar so I don't know what to make of it. I bought it a little thing of cat food that vanished in a matter of minutes, so I think I'm his new best friend now.
The best thing is the sound of his "meow". It can't easily be described, other than to think of a really drunk cat meowing. It's something that has to be heard to be believed.
