Viking, Rock/Paper/Scissors and Dominoes
Ok. I normally don't watch much of the sports channels. I have been watching the FIFA World Cup
god why does it do that?? I had put on an html link and the underline keeps going and going grrrr. ANYway, I do watch a few things on some of the sports channels. I don't watch the tube as much, usually just in the evening but I'm vegging out today (Saturday) and I must say ESPN2 has some cool @ss shit on. Today I was watching Viking: The Ultimate Obstacle Course Challenge or some shit like that. When I was at my parents' house, my brother had surfed the channels and found the "Rock, Paper, Scissors Competition". I shit you not. They actually were standing there competing with rock, paper, scissors!!! NOt that's a little too ridiculous for me. THey also have dominos. I can understand that a little. But I also saw an Sand Blasters: Extreme Sand Sculpting Competition. Now that was cool. These people go out and of course build sand sculptures. The thing is each one is rigged to blow up. After a while, they all stop and someone chooses a ball or paper out of this rolling container to see which sculpture gets blasted. IT's cool yet sad because they poured all that hard work into their sand scuplture. Now I think this was a one time thing though, like for this year. I don't know if they do this on a regular basis. But then they get to build a new one and don't have to get blasted again. Then they blast some more, then later they all get judged yadda yadda. Now I thought that was cool. But that Obstacle challenge was funny. It of course takes place in Japan. I tell ya, they come up with some funky ass shit. The show was in English so that's good. Granted that Spike who that has the English dubbing is funny, but it gets kind of old. I rarely see a Japanese over 5'6" let alone with a lot of muscle. But it was neat to see them accomplish skills using agility, strength, intelligence, endurance. Damn makes me want to work out more!
Eh I'm sure the ex might not want to see himself plastered on the net, but I'll take it down and he doesn't surf.....but here he is in all his redneck-ness! He's got about 25 acres of land with a house and barn. We were walking the property to check on the utility lines the new developers were putting up so the rifle is for trespassers! Although he likes to hit a squirrel or two (I know I know, but they are rodents and a nuisance, but he usually doesn't hit them!) Eventually I want a rifle/shotgun. Nothing like the sound of THAT to scare someone away. And if THAT doesn't scare someone away? They are either fucking crazy or on drugs. Cause I know I wouldn't want to stick around after hearing the shotgun ready. Now before ya go callin me a redneck.......I just like the simpleness anymore. Hanging out, listening to the owls, birds and other critters, watching the sun go down, drinking a few, and not worrying about life. Of course that doesn't often happen.......
Well I must be off, one more day to work and then I'm fREE for a couple ok just ONE day. Until Next weekend.
